Precor EFX 443 Precision Series Review

Precor EFX 443 Precision Series Rating
Detailed Overview
Let’s start with some of the outstanding features on this elliptical that truly set it apart from the competition. For instance, we love the CrossRamp technology, which basically allows you to adjust the height of the elliptical path (think incline setting on a treadmill). With up to 40 degrees of elevation, you can focus on specific lower-body muscles – tone your glutes, hamstrings, or quads with just the touch of a button. The variable stride also mimics a natural stride, making your workout more comfortable and easier on joints.
We also love the console on this machine, which features a 7” LCD color display. There are 24 workout routines and multiple user profiles built right in, and you can use the workout app to track your progress. Plus, you have two options for monitoring your heartrate: pulse sensors or the included chest strap.
While your lower body is sure to feel the burn, we don’t love the fact that the EFX 443 doesn’t offer moving handlebars. At this price, most users expect a full-body workout. And while we are a fan of the technology and connectivity features this elliptical offers, we’re not sure it’s worth the price upgrade when compared to the Precor EFX 423.
One last note to make is on our customer service experience with Precor online. Typically we will navigate brand sites quite regularly when working on our reviews, and lately we’ve been engaging with the live chat services of many of them to see how useful they are. In the case of Precor, when asking a very simple question first we received an automated response saying “Precor associates typically respond within 2 days”, which was baffling to say the least. Thankfully some 10-20 minutes later we received a reply to our question.

The Bottom Line
The Precor EFX 443 Precision Series Elliptical has a lot of attractive features, including its upgraded console and CrossRamp technology, which are sure to please any fitness guru. And it’s backed by a big name in fitness.
However, we’re not sure it’s worth the high price tag when compared to some of the other ellipticals out there – including the Precor EFX 423. But if high-tech gadgets are a must, then this elliptical will satisfy your need for technology combined with powerful performance.
