Its robust 32-pound resistance system helps make exercise ultrasmooth, and its 7” web-enabled touchscreen helps keep you entertained during workouts. Support for personal training includes 35 built-in workout programs and the option to download new programs from iFit Coach anytime. With iFit Coach Google Maps workouts, you can virtually hike somewhere new everyday! The Elite 12.7 also supports varied exercise positions with its power-adjustable incline.

Paired with a standard warranty including five years of parts coverage, NordicTrack’s Elite 12.7 is among the best ellipticals on sale for under $1,500. Below are lists of highlights and two potential drawbacks for some shoppers.

 Our Least Favorite Features

Here’s why the Elite 12.7 isn’t for everyone:

  • Machine is a bit long at 80.25”; you can roll it away for storage, but it isn’t a foldable elliptical trainer
  • 20” to 21” stride is too long for short trainees; if your stride is shorter than average, you might prefer an elliptical with 18” or 19” option

The Bottom Line

With a heavy flywheel and potentially steep power incline, the NordicTrack Elite 12.7 is among the most effective home elliptical trainers for all ability levels. It’s also loaded with workout programming and extras ranging from an Android web browser to a wireless heart rate monitor. It’s a great buy for the $1,499 discount price. The main drawback is that the stride is too long for shorter trainees.

Stay away from this poorly manufactured machine. It is very unstable and the weld on the part that supports the control board broke only after 2.5 years of occasional use by one person.

Hi Darijo. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your machine after a couple of years. Have you tried contacting customer service for Nordictrack? Have you looked through the manual to see if there is something you can adjust on your own before sending someone in? We hope to help you get this issue resolved.
