Detailed Overview

A commercial-grade elliptical trainer designed for comfort and durability, the LK700X is the top model in the LK Series of commercial trainers by BH Fitness.

The LK700X is the elite model part of the LK Series of light commercial grade fitness elliptical/arc trainers by BK Fitness. This model is one of four elliptical trainers in the series, which are self-generating upper-front drive designed models ranging in price from just around $1,500 to around $4,500. This LK700X commercial-grade model retails for $4,399.

There are few differences in this model and the mid-range LK500X model, with the only real difference in the look of the trainer and the weight of the frame. The LK700X features a chrome/silver finish on the sides and the frame comes in at 286 pounds, wth a user weight capacity of 330 pounds.

The upper front-drive design of this series features a roller-free and rail-free design that is quiet and very smooth, mimicking the user’s natural stride and reducing shock and impact on the joints. This model is built with a fixed 20.5 inch stride and a minimal Q-factor (which means narrower spacing between the pedals and therefore a narrower stride between the feet), but lacks any adjustable options to speak of.

The console on the LK700X is basically the same console as the mid-range LK500X model, built with a bright red LED alpha-numeric display that features basic workout readouts like calories, heart rate, time, etc. The screen is divided into four readout areas and a track display to keep an eye on your distance. Users can keep track of their heart rate using the contact grip sensors on the stationary handlebars and this model is equipped for wireless heart rate monitoring as well. The LK700X offers 24 built-in workout programs and 21 electronic resistance levels, allowing users to mix up workouts and target various muscle groups. And while this console comes with a water bottle holder and reading rack, it does lack a cooling fan or any audio capabilities.

The LK700X comes with a commercial warranty of 2 years on labor, 10 years on parts and lifetime coverage on the frame.

Our Favorite Features

  • Commercial warranty covers 10 years on parts and lifetime on the frame
  • Self-generating (easy to move around and adapt to any floor plan)
  • Moving and stationary handlebars (with dual-grip EKG heart rate monitoring on stationary handlebars)
  • Unique, ergonomically-sound design for extra comfort and safety

Our Least Favorite Features

  • Non-adjustable features
  • Price to features ratio
  • Lower weight capacity of under 350 pounds (average is 350 pounds or greater for a commercial-grade trainer at this price point)
  • No built-in cooling fan
  • No audio options/speakers
  • Cost of shipping not included

The Bottom Line

ForĀ $1,000 less, you can basically get the same trainer with the LK500X. There are few difference in these two models other than the warranty and some frame differences. The LK700X is an attractive, durable and comfortable trainer to use so we recommend the series as a whole, but if you are going to go with an elliptical trainer from this LK Series, the LK500X or LK500Xi might be a better overall value.
